One night the rain and fog held our town I asked you what to do You said ‘Choose the things that you can leave behind and take the rest with you’ I left the house late that very night my only guidance was the pale moonlight I must have read a thousand rhymes and I must have walked a thousand miles Sometimes I can’t help thinking of the past and how little that I knew How long this journey was bound to last and how I’d make it without you Sometimes I wear it off in solitude and when I don’t know what to do I close my eyes and try my best not to remember you I tend to look for someone else to blame Someone to carry my weight of the shame But the words that I can’t leave behind are those you buried in my mind ‘The more you struggle, the more you find My hands are tied now, but yours are free’ That’s what you said to me So now I look for someone else to blame Someone to carry my weight of the shame

The Judge 05:12
My hope was of the fragile kind, it couldn’t stand the test of time The moment that it cracked it ached, it shut me out for years, and when it hit the ground and disappeared, I wished that I had never seen her beauty before my eyes Cause that’s when I began to loose myself If I could live those years again, I’d go somewhere I’ve never been I’d take some chances that I didn’t dare until I found myself just waiting for the judge to speak her mind and set me free now I rewind and then I realise, a verdict wasn’t up to any judge It was only up to me And maybe there will always be another wish that breaks, and then you’re free to choose again, and after all that was the moment when I learned to raise my head and seek out distances my eyes can’t capture Somewhere there across the ocean there’s a land just waiting to be seen All you sailors and you seekers How was the shore you had on mind what was the wish you left behind when you cut the ropes and drifted far away, to the Sea, to the Sea I am not a sailor but I’ve seen a beach or two it is a place on earth where one can very easily be blinded by the moon or by the sun, and when the sea is strong and warm and all the fear you had is gone, then you can easily be taken far away and say some things that you were never meant to say to someone who was never meant to be there anyway The word is spoken now, you cannot take it back and she will smile the smile you wished to see and when you look at her you find yourself unable to object And then your lips start moving slowly you sing a song that’s wholy a song you saved for moments on a beach like this and for a smile like hers and it’s too late to turn around and walk away And when there’s nothing more to sing or say the sea has got a melody that whispers all the words she needs to hear The words are of a fragile kind they make you analyze your mind to see if they left a trace behind something you can trust this time And you hope she’s feeling just the same and you wanna see her face again you hope the judge that speaks today will treat you like an honest man Like an honest man

You never left me on my own I remember When you used to have a lady at your door Now she’s holding someone’s hand Now who’s going to make you a man Drive Drive as fast as you can Let the dark road remind you that it’s all in your hands Now she’s holding someone’s hand Now who’s going to make you a man Now she’s holding someone else’s hand She’s a queen in someone else’s land The sleeping dogs will never understand ... Who’s gonna make you a man Who’s gonna make you a man ...

I don’t wanna go home I wanna stay here and watch the sun go down Cause I found the million dollar recipe and now I’m right where I should be It’s such a perfect bay with a mountain view it harbours my illusions I’ll stay for a hundred years if that’s what it takes to rid you of all confusion I’m the mooncracker I’m a real beachshacker I’m a selfish fucker I’m the true imperial splendor The sweet-talk diplomacy is not art to me it’s just a cheap disguise I had a word with the man in charge and I sentenced him to invisibility I said ‘I don’t care who you think you are don’t come running to me I won’t give you no advice’ Happy go hippie go lucky go find your own show find your own place cause this is my space I’m the mooncracker I’m a real beachshacker I’m a selfish fucker I’m the true imperial splendor The true imperial splendor I’m the true imperial splendor I don’t wanna go home I wanna stay here and watch the sun go down

On Your Side 04:07
All those years gone by I never really paid attention Just a blueprint for affection is what is left of our emotions The last few days changed my view I see a different reflection I’m on your side I’m on your side I wonder how I can tell you If it seems right if you don’t mind I’ll be around if you want me to All those words that I wrote no longer lend me their conclusions The perfect bay that I found no longer harbours my illusions Now that I’ve come full circle there’s one thing I want you to know I’m on your side I’m on your side I wonder how I can tell you If it seems right if you don’t mind I’ll be around if you want me to

The Wanderer 04:30
I met a man, who turned his back on man’s ambition To those who think this world’s one great competition - a race you couldn’t count him in And so he walked, from mountain to mountain To clear his thoughts, to make sense of it all his eyes fixed on a new horizon I walked with him, and as we wandered around I wondered if he ever got the urge to walk back down And he said ‘All known rivers lead to one big sea In one place is not the place I wanna be And all these roads just lead you to some town As for me, I’m only searching for the higher ground And I won’t stop ‘till that mountain is found’ I knew a girl, she was hard to understand She took me in, but she never took my hand I was a stranger in her world there’s no love, there is no man who could occupy this girl She said ‘I’ve met so many men who have claimed to be the prince who’s come to resque me But I’m not in despair, no I don’t need no man I could tell you, but you’ll never hear me plea I need only me to tell me that I’m free’ There was a time, when all I did was dream A state of mind, or somewhere in between When I searched, for a piece of ground To make mine, and to make it worth Every single step that I have made has lead me to believe that what I find Floating in that space not far behind are mountains only if they seem to be casting shadows of my dreams of you and me

The song I hear in the dawn of a perfect day It’s the very same as the shimmering tune that Orpheus used to play The joy we feel, with nothing in our way It’s so very frail The carefree sound of children laughing when they play The sound of a perfect day The state you’re in when a dream leads you astray It is the very same when a song is on its way Just listen when it plays Listen when it plays Listen when it plays A song is on its way It is the very same as the shimmering tune that Orpheus used to play - The sound of a perfect day

Solan Hill 05:06
We walked across the fields with burning skin and determined will We reached the peak of Solan Hill where view is bright and the air is chilled We built a camp under a moonlit sky where summer had left the river dry And we saw the cloud burst into tears as they hadn’t cried for many years We saw the sun rise over polished hills we saw the mist let go of its mighty grip Every departure is a quiet wish Please don’t let this one - slip away If you pass through this valley again leave me a message in the dry river sand If you come during the August rain stay ‘till the monsoon beauty lands Can you remember how it feels when the polished hill reveals in the sudden change of season to leave for greater reason We saw the sun rise over polished hills we saw the mist let go of its mighty grip Every departure is a quiet wish Please don’t let this one - slip away

And I Know 04:09
You hit the string where what is pure begins Where no one loses and no one wins And I felt that song resonate within Shimmering through every mask I wear And I Know, and I know, and I know when I’m with you I will be me again And I Know, and I know, and I know when I’m with you I’ll just be me again I sense in you hard rain and fire I see calm waters reflect desire There is a moment with everyone you meet Your heart is set or sweeps you off of your feet And I Know, and I know, and I know when I’m with you I will be me again And I Know, and I know, and I know when I’m with you I will be me again And I Know, and I know, and I know when I’m with you I’ll just be me again
